Troed will be on Friday from 19:30 to 20:00 at the Plenary talking about disruption and the future of communication.

Human to human connectivity is closely related to our rate of innovation. Let’s explore human communication history, where we are today are where we could end up in the future. Democratized creation, gift economy rules and the openness culture is currently sweeping through society turning bureaucracies and corporate structures upside down, plants the seeds for Skynet and cause pirates to go “arrr!”.

#mobilefuture will be the hastag of his conference on Twitter. To warm up you can check this video, He is talking about exponential change and its effects upon innovation:

Troed Sångberg

Troed Sangberg (@troed) is a futurist working at the Sony Ericsson Technology Office. With a core technical background and a keen interest in changes in society, culture and the human mind he tries to explore, expand and project the resulting impacts onto the world around us.

After 13 years of mobile experience in developing, project leading and directing strategy at companies ranging from Ericsson, Symbian, TietoEnator to Sony Ericsson one question relevant today would be if we really can separate our offline and online experiences. Troed can be followed on Twitter and his corporate Sony Ericsson blog.

Atending EBE11 will be David Verbustel, he will talk about the early steps of a native European entrepreneur and his extensive experience as business project developer. David will be on Saturday from 17:00 to 17:30 at the Paralel II.

David @davidv always imagined entrepreneurs like heroes : filled with passion and perseverance like no one else on earth, continually looking to create value to the society, increasing wellness and leading the path to a brighter future. Startups are an act of faith, they are driven by the passion of the entrepreneur. However deep their faith in their vision is, it can lead to a deadly outcome by missing some key facts in the earliest days of their entrepreneurial journey. Their decision-making process is altered by the business culture of European life versus American life and a lack of understanding in the search for a business model.

Entrepreneurs

He will explain to us in #EBE11 that there are 2 categories of entrepreneurs. A minority of entrepreneurs are born crazy and understand that there is no such thing as an overnight success but they have the guts to undertake whatever it takes to get their startup off the ground. And after years of hard work and perseverance it might look like an overnight success. But the other and major category of entrepreneurs are made along the way.

During the keynote he will attempt to explain the latest category and how business culture of European life versus American life and the search for the perfect business model lead to misconceptions and failures in entrepreneurship.

David Verbustel

David Verbustel (@davidv ) is a Business Engineer (Louvain School of Management – Belgium, University of Texas at Austin) specialized in entrepreneurship and innovation.
After dedicating himself to foster Belgian entrepreneurship, his passion for recruitment and web technologies led him to found the Bright Ventures Group, an entrepreneurial company (i.e. business incubator) that focuses on staffing and recruitment projects. The first project, iStorm Agency, is today a successful million dollar Business. Recently a new venture was launched : “FellowNation” , a free and open professional network for communities that is currently being tested on the Belgian market

Jared Hecht, will be on Saturday from 12:00 to 13:00 hours at the main stage. The last half hour we will interview him.

Since our first EBE we have invited founders of the most successful startups. These companies’ products and services are now used by millions of people globally. Matt Mullenweg (WordPress), Biz Stone (Twitter), Bret Taylor (Friendfeed), David Karp (Tumblr), among others, have been presented in first person the know-how that has led them to succeed.

The explosion of social media has given every individual a voice through blogs, Twitter, Facebook and more. But this noisiness is subjecting us to broadcast-overload, as well as increasing privacy concerns. People are becoming much more aware of their personal social media boundaries and many are starting to appreciate social interactions in more intimate settings. To address this, GroupMe has taken advantage of the personal nature of mobile phones and offers a way to create private social networks, allowing users to easily interact with the important people in their lives.

GroupMe’s Jared Hecht will share his view on what GroupMe’s private, mobile social networks do for users, developers, marketers and retailers. He will share how it fits into larger trends as social-planning goes mobile, purchasing becomes more social and decision-making is focused on local.

Jared Hecht

Jared (@jaredhecht) is the Co-Founder of GroupMe, a group messaging service that lets you stay in touch with groups of people via mobile phones and the web. In August 2011, GroupMe was acquired by Skype, which was subsequently acquired by Microsoft in October 2011. Previously, Jared led Business Development at Tumblr where he focused on international expansion and strategic partnerships. Before Tumblr, Jared received his BA in Political Science from Columbia University in 2009 where he served as the Publisher and Managing Director of Inside New York. During college Jared also ran Mixed Bag Productions, a music marketing and production company that worked with nationally touring acts and festivals.

In his free time Jared serves as a mentor to TechStars, as well as an investor and advisor to various NYC startups.

Do you know how best to enjoy #EBE11? EBE is not about only conferences and workshops, there’s much more. Read on to find out about entertainment options for you to enjoy all the activities that EBE11 and the city of Seville has to offer.

One of the reasons to come to #EBE11 is to put a face to people that you communicate with online, we invite everyone to participate in what we have organised to have a great time between lectures, workshops and discussions… We want you to make the most of a great weekend of sharing and living together with the participants of this edition.

The sum of these three elements is the EBE experience, this video of last year commemorating the fifth anniversary reflects it.

Sports

To exercise the body as well as the mind you will be able to ice skate in an ecological ice rink that will be in the venue of EBE11, totally free, thanks to the collaboration of the Sevillian company Xtraice and you don’t need to bring skates, just let us know if you have an extra shoe size.

The city is an ideal setting for #EBE11 because you can combine assiting the event with enjoying the art, history, gastronomy, the Guadalquivir river, folklore, music, smells and tastes of the capital of Andalusia, all in all a truly unforgettable experience.
